  • How to produce the monthly audit reports

The following videos are videos of my computer screen when I’m producing the monthly audit reports and as such they explain how the reports are produced. The ones about use of the Omnicell are very repetitive. You might like to start with the run charts, most of the information for them comes from the Medicus database or from the other reports. To practice there are lots of files on the Data Group section of teams

First Omnicell- Meropenem- the original file comes from an output from the Omnicell that comes to me and Emma Boxall- this is the same for all the drugs

This is for Propofol. The other sedative drugs are Alfentanil and Midazolam. There are also several other antibiotics- Vancomycin, Co-amoxiclav, Tazocin, Flucloxacillin, The sedative drugs we only use the total amount of drug, the antibiotics the total and how many patients have received the drugs in month

This is how to calculate the information about LocSSIPs, we use the business objects files for CVC placement and endotracheal intubation and these are explained in the two videos below. We also use the tracheostomy file but we only need to count the number for the month

    CVC Locssip

    Endotracheal intubation

Run charts- this video explains how to make them, I don’t think I’ve covered which reports to run from Medicus but you should be able to work it out- they are standard reports not super queries

This explains how to produce the information about delirium assessments. The file comes form the business objects report that you should have access to. There is a PDF explaining how to use business objects in the ICNARC section. It’s also in the data group files in the minutes section

    Delirium assessments

This file explains how to produce the graphs for the NG tube insertion rates calculated from the CXR reports
